Petey Buttons - One look at this button and you know your hooked. Such a purdy gurl. Miss Petey Buttons gets the prize for best name. Ever since I met her I'll find myself walking down the lane and all of a sudden my brain bleats out PETEY BUTTONS!! and then it laughs a bit.
She looks a lil' bit like a pumpkin.
Maybe it's just me.

Seamus - Ok so this is the second photo I have posted of this fella and the second spelling variation I have given his name. I have some more pix stored if I get a hankering for a third go at the name. He is a super cute lil' 3 mo old that is being fostered with PitBull Rescue. I do not know if he is available yet but you should check out their site for lots o' cuties.
This Holiday Season is coming on like a Freight Train! Maybe you could use some Fuzzle company on the trip.
There are so many great Adoption Groups in town that could use some volunteer value during this busy time.
Cuddle up to a Fuzzlish purpose!
Tango - This 6 year old romeo's gorgeous fall colored fur is just the beginning of his charmola. He merits a visit over to my buddies at the Rancho Coastal Humane Society. I think that they are about to do a major kitty Kastle home improvement project there. Stop by and get the deets.
If you have already started thinking about holiday gifts...
The PAWS Surf Dog Calendar is now available. Perfect holiday hello for those who enjoy the lighter side of fuzzles. Check it out [Link] I was soooooo busy this weekend that I totally missed out on all Fuzzlish Events going on in our county. Booooo!
Kermit - I can't say enough good stuff about this guy. I guess I can sum it up by saying I wish I could have him for my own. Yes folks... I've got it bad 'cause our luv must be of the unrequited variety. I guess that makes me Miss Piggy. I could do worse. Adopt him at PitBull Rescue San Diego
I hung out with this group last weekend and we had a wee photo shoot. It was much fun.

So while we let swami Riri's lesson in tolerance sink in, let's pop over to a local story that shows a fuztastic implementation of care und concern -
Last weekend a local cbs news team followed the Give Some Life Foundation to their monthly spay & neuter-athon south of le border. On their event schedule it listed the locale as Erendia but I am not sure if that is acurate. I missed the segment when it first ran but was able to catch it at the News 8 Story & Video link.
I totally recommend checking it out. This group does a whole lot with a little (I think they were posting a total of aprox. 3500 pets spayed & neutered through their campaigns - at no charge) and I'm stoked see them gain reconocimiento for their work.
If y'all have some time or dinero adicional that you want to put toward their project, check out their website - Give Some Life Foundation. The next campaign is on Nov. 5th
I am not totally sure if these two meowlets are still available but I think they are. The folks at the National Cat Protection always have some fabulous felines when I go there for snaps.
If you have never had the chance to check out their East County kitty kingdom, they are open Tuesdays - Saturdays from 12-4:30pm
Cig - This 1year old casanova is gorgeous and has a very elegant body shape. Adopt him at the National Cat Protection
National Cat Protection Society 9031 Birch Street Spring Valley, CA 91977 Phone: 619-469-8771 I was checking out the NCP website and it looks like they have some design collaboration in the works with the fun folks from The Cat's House.
Wells Park This 18 acre greenyland is just a hop skip and a jump from the El Cajon Shelter. The doggy section is located in the Southwest part of the park at 1153 E. Madison Ave. The off-leash area is open from 7a.m. to 9 p.m. and has is a lighted area in the evening.
Check out the article the UnionTrib ran when the park opened in 2004 - article link .
Whilst you are walking along with your new fuzzle friend you can hum or sing out strong...
"Out of the tree of life, I just picked me a plum You came along and everything started to hum Still its a real good bet, the best is yet to come"
Alvin - Yes folks he is as cute as a chipmunk. So what are you waiting for? Adopt this youngster at the Coronado Animal Shelter
The Coronado Animal Shelter is doing a little couch surfing at the lovely Coronado Police Building at 7th and Orange. They are hanging out while their new building is being figured.
I have been to their temporary digs and it is actually quite nice. The waiting area in the police department is fairly swanky and it only takes a minute to get to the basement facility once an animal control staff member comes ta get ya.
Gimp - Gorgeous 2 year old boy that is lookin' fer love Adopt him at Friends of Cats
Do you know the way to Chez Meow!
Just look east to the Friends of Cats cottage in El Cajon.
this wee cottage off of Olde Hwy 80 is supah cute. They are open from 10-4 Tuesday thru Sunday. They have been at this location since 1966 and the shelter has been operating since the late 1920's!
Mr Black - Good looking Senior Sweetie. This 9 year old fella is ready for his snuggle. Adopt him at Friends of Cats
So for a lovely kitty country safari day, take a drive on the 8.
But I slept in big time and missed all the Catwalk action!
I ran into young fuz Shamus. The 2.5 month old pupple was approaching the same Sunday Slumber Satisfaction that I had just shaken awake from. This lil' hyena is getting lotsa lovin's with his foster family but will be ready for permanent placement in about a month. Adopt him at PitBull Rescue San Diego
Paws put together a nice event in a great location. There were still lots o' folks & fuzzles enjoying the San Diego skyline by the time that I mosied over to the Ferry Landing. If you did not have a chance to swing by, Paws adoption tables are at the Ferry Landing Farmers Market from 2-4pm on the second Tuesday of every month. Check it out! San Diego Spaniel Rescue had a booth with some seriously cute booth buddies! If you are looking for a spaniel, try on Sar, Sir, or Trea for size. They were waggin' their wiggle bottoms the whole time that I watched their booth.
Peggy reminded me that theSan Diego Spaniel Rescue Paw Prints Photo Portrait Fundraiser was coming up soon. Spotlight Studios will be holding photo sessions for a very reasonable cost at The Original Paw Pleasers Bakery in North Park on Sunday October 22. Perfect for fuzzle holiday cards. Proceeds will go to the San Diego Spaniel Rescue. Check out the link or check for it in the Fuzzle Calendar.
The Chihuahua Rescue group also participated in the festivities but I was too late to get pics of their fuzzles. If y'all need some Chi lovin' give them a buzz.
Sydney the wonder pup shows off his glam mug with the San Diego skyline. This 12wk old boy is well behaved and very sweet. Adopt him at PitBull Rescue San Diego
Bert & Ernie and Shamus enjoying the pleasures of green grass and snoozy breezes. Adopt them at PitBull Rescue San Diego
Ooooo that "let's take a little nap on the lawn" view is makin' me sleepy all over again.
