Octavian - I Like Big Cheeks and I can not Lie! This fella has the biggest set of face pillows that I have seen in forever. To match the general moon shaped face fun he has an Amazing personality. If my own kitty did not dislike other kittys this guy would already be in mi casa. I believe he is still in residence at the Petsmart in Murphy Canyon (Aero Drive) in the excellent care of the folks from Shelter Pet Partners.

Spanky & Holly - This pair o' smiley sweeties would like to keep their Best Friends Forever status. Help keep those smiley mugs bright! Seriously y'all this guy & gal are house trained, mellow, and socially sound - they only ended up in the adoption option when their elderly companion was no longer able to take care of them. The Union Tribune has published the quarterly Pet Page today so make extra sure to go get a newspaper today! There are 6 pages of adoptable adorables awaiting anxiously! whew..

That is your only assignment for the day class but just to show you that this is a benevolent blog let me share what I guess would be the gag reel for the movie called "the pet page"...

Ya see when a bunch o' fuzzles go in front of your camera there are always a few that are a bit shy or concerned (or just really like licking the great strawberry lipgloss that they just picked up at the CVS) - so you get a number of pictures of le tongue....

Super-Fuz

But in this fair city all doggies get to have a go and let me tell ya, from what I have seen it does not matter how big ya are to have a rockin' run.


I think this mighty runner is about the size of 2 dandelions & was a rocket with fur attached!

Sable - this lovely lady is not even 2 years old yet. I rarely see adoptable Afghans around town and she is very sweet!

So anywhoooo. you may be wondering what it is that these doggies are running for.

They are chasing a wee plastic bag that zips around a low strung course at high speed.

It's super fun to watch and the event has a good vibe going on.

I did meet another super dog el otro día that may not be doing any major running about at the moment but will definitely chase after your heart (mega corny but I just can't help myself right now!)

Kodi - This 5 month old Lab / Akita mix showed up with a broken pelvis and a fractured rear leg. He has had surgery and is healing. Hooray!

Ugly Fuzzy [or] Holy Xoloitzcuintli Bat Man!

Ok y'all I know it has been a whole week again since posting. I just don't know what to do with myself ! (March edition UT Pet Page has been in the works)

But I think that my lil' buddy Lacey is ready to be the Belle of le Ball this weekend. She is over the top fun with her wee hairless self & is ready to rock your world (with a t-shirt or sunscreen on of course). Her particular brand of ugly cute (I think she is muy adorable!) comes via her Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless) lineage. Adopt her at the San Diego Humane Society.

So there are bunches o' great events tomorrow (Saturday) from Coronado to Fallbrook so if you are looking for adoption options check the Fuzzle Calendar.

The big event o' da weekend is the Ugly Dog Contest at the Del Mar Fair. [link]
