What's Yer Sign?

Ok so there are about 50 bajillion kittens out there right now.
seriously - lots of wee meowers.
so - seeing as many of them are about 6-8 weeks old they would probably all be in Sun Sign Aries.
So just so ya know what type of personalities you might be meeting here is a quote or two from "Astrology for Cats"
Character: Impulsive
Element: Fire
"Likes the limelight and always manages to hold center stage"
"a bit of a show off"
"very good at learning tricks & they work hard at polishing up their acts"
"it knows exactly what it wants, and it wants it now!"
now let's meet some of our players in this cosmic game...
they hale from Rosebud Society Rescue and they are ready to win the adoption game...
from the head of the post we have Julian - I wanted to take him home with me. Seriously rag doll floppy love bug with gorgeous goods to boot.
If you are looking for a Siamese stunner look no further than...

Darcy - beautiful boy that is ready to charm you like the gentleman he is
or perhaps you would prefer to share your pic a nic basket with...

Yogi - teeny tiny adorable buddy that is ready to show you that he is smarter than the average bear
Say you are more in the mood for that sunset explosion look...

Leo - his name may be contradicting his birth sign but this wee one can be your king o da beasts.
Or if your just looking for straight up GQ pose out, pose up, pose a plenty than feast yer eyes on...

Kline - I think the picture says it all. Who will the lucky winner be?
They are all available for adoption with Rosebud Society [link] - check them out !!

She was lookin' to share the love. Quite the artiste with her affections.

Heal Thyself... and so on
Jasper - She is no spring chicken but who is anymore...
Miss Jasper is a 10 year old tabby (I added the Miss part since I thought she was a he initially because of the name) that is really all about the cuddle. She would be a really easy going addition to the household. I think the picture above is exhibiting her #2 activity (#1 would be the same but would occur in your lap).
Check her out at the San Diego Humane Society. [link]

The mineral version of Jasper supposedly has the power to heal insanity and to heal one possessed by devils...
So just think what a fuzzy version could do!

Times-R-Tuff

I know that times are tuff right now. Lots of folks are dealing with lots o' stuff. One of the things that people are dealing with is losing not only their homes but their pets as well. This is not an easy situation for anyone and can be beyond depressing.

I have noticed that one way to help beat the blues is to feel like you are an integral part of something positive. There are so many pets out there that can be helped by your inner volunteer. There are so many different ways to help.

During the next series of blog posts I am going to be listing local Pet Rescue and Shelter's volunteer needs and orientation days.
Just figuring that this is a big county and I know that it can be easier to dedicate time when you don't have to travel as far. There are opportunities all over town and maybe I can help point y'all to some of them.

But before we get to the volunteer selections of the day...

Let's pause to appreciate the smoochy twosome that is known as...

Big Guy & Big Girl - These two lovely kittys are obviously bonded buddies. Big Girl is missing a leg but gets around quite well. They are a wee bit shy at first but get to snuggling pretty quickly.
Adopt them at San Diego Humane Society. [link]
and now onto the volunteering opportunities...
If you have experience with HTML / Website creation & updating then the House Rabbit Society could use a hand with their new website. If you would like to lend a hand or find out more about what they need - contact Judith [email link]
North County Humane Society will be having a volunteer orientation on Sat. March 8th from 11am - 1pm. To register call the volunteer coordinator @ 760-757-4357 x1244 or go to [link]
Volunteering can be a very empowering experience and one that could help during a time when things might be falling apart.
In the words of Dodie Smith (the gal that wrote The Hundred and One Dalmatians)...
Noble deeds and hot baths are the best cures for depression.

Rise and Shine

Puppy lovin's - I can't remember this wee pup's name (met him at the Muttropolis Jingle Mingle) but I do remember his winning personality and amazing sweet demeanor. He was part of the adoption options that came from Chula Vista Animal Care to the party. He was not adopted that night but one lucky person is gonna get him!
Adopt him at Chula Vista Animal Care.
Ok y'all it has been an embarrassing amount of time since the fuzzle has landed or lifted or laughed with. Let's just say things have been upside down and scrambled around. But the fuz does and will always go on!
so let's get to it.
I had to find an extra special kitteh to kick off the reentry of le fuz.
I think it's safe to say...

Mission Accomplished!
Jiminy - Meet your new muse. This 6 year old mr. meow loves to play and gets on well with other meowers around. He is also available for life study modeling for sessions that do not exceed a few minutes (you can work on your sketching speed).
Adopt him at FOCAS San Diego.
I am signing out for a momento but I will be updating the fuz calendar with all the latest and greatest adoption events in town.
rise and shine
it's fuzzle time.

He is so very handsome.

If you have a chance to meet him - have patience. He is worth the wait!

did I mention that he luvs playing with feathers!

The Divine Julius

Octavian - I Like Big Cheeks and I can not Lie! This fella has the biggest set of face pillows that I have seen in forever. To match the general moon shaped face fun he has an Amazing personality. If my own kitty did not dislike other kittys this guy would already be in mi casa. I believe he is still in residence at the Petsmart in Murphy Canyon (Aero Drive) in the excellent care of the folks from Shelter Pet Partners.
If you are looking for an era of peace, prosperity, and imperial greatness, known as the Pax Fuzzana - look to the greatness that is monsieur Octavian!

How Can You Mend A Broken Heart?

I can think of younger days when living for my life
Was everything a fuzzle could want to doooooooo
I could never see tomorrow,
but I was never told about the sorrow...
Randy & Reba - This 10 year old pair of bonded fuzzle friends are having a bit of a tough time adjusting to life away from their former home. I tell ya', someone has been rockin' their dreamboat. Can you make it so that they can resume sailing along - peaceful and calm? Adopt them (#'s A1142605, A1142604) at the San Diego Animal Services South.
And how can you mend a broken heart?
How can you stop the rain from falling down?
How can you stop the sun from shining?
What makes the world go round?
How can you mend this broken fuz?
How can a loser ever win?
Please help me mend my broken heart and let me live again...
