I Left My Heart...

In Escondido...

ESC_Tommy.jpg
Tommy - This youngster (aprox 1yr) Aussie Cattle Dog mix has the most wonderful jowlies. I want to reach into the photo to give them lil' whisker pulls. I am guessing he would prefer a fun run or some frisbee (but I can have fun in my own imagination in the meantime). Adopt him at the Escondido Humane Society.

So the Escondido Humane Society is having an Adoption Special for 2 weeks.

They are reducing their adoption rates in hopes of encouraging great homes to adopt Now!

Adult pets (6+ mo) now have an adoption fee of just $55 !

That includes Spay / Neuter, All Vaccinations, Veterinary Exam at their center and after adoption at partnering vets, Lifetime Behavioral Support, Nutro Food, and much more!

ESC_Sugar.jpg
Sugar - Yes she is sweet. Yes she is young (less than a year) n' muy playful. She is also deaf so she may need some extra consideration in her training and surroundings. But how can ya resist the smile! Adopt her at the Escondido Humane Society.

Petco is chipping in so that all adoptions (while supplies last) will receive a coupon pack w/ $100 worth of savings.

If you have been looking for a special buddy - check out their selection and have some dollars left over for pet supplies n' such.

Body Language

HocusPocus_01.jpg
Hocus & Pocus - This extremely sweet pair of bonded bunny brothers are part of the pilot program between the San Diego House Rabbit Society, Escondido Humane Society, and the Petco Foundation.[link]

This project sets up bunnies as available adoptables at a number of San Diego County Petcos. Hocus & Pocus are aprox. 1.5 years old and are a total delight. They were both very easy to handle and were a pleasure to work with. I believe that Hocus is the smaller of the two and also the more outgoing. Pocus is a bit more shy. In the next pic you can see that Hocus is giving his big bro a little reassurance.

I think the Body Language says it all...

The Traveller and The Fuzzle...

Copper
- This Wiggle Wonder is ready to be your " I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship " Fuzzle. Adopt this youngster at the Escondido Humane Society.

A Traveller was about to start on a journey, and said to the Dog, who was stretching himself by the door, " Come, what are you yawning for? Hurry up and get ready : I mean you to go with me."

But the Dog merely wagged his tail and said quietly, " I'm ready, master : it's you I'm waiting for."

So if you have a little traveller that you think might like to take a literary journey and get some positive fuzzle exposure all at the same time, check out the Reading to Dogs programs at these two city libraries.
